SCOPE OF ELECTRONICS

Once a engineer enters the IT industry , then the boundries between hardware and software seems to fade away. Every system (state of art) is made of hardware and associated software. The software itself is very vast . There are various levels of software (you can understand more about it once you get a understanding of networking).

Now the core queston arises what should a electronics engineer do? should he code or should he design the hardware . Practically there are more number of people who are needed to code (write siftware) than to desing a hardware . Most of the core hardware design work in MNCs is done offshore. In india we have scope for electronics but it is limited. Luckily most of software part usually comes to India . So, India has more scope for software and if you can take up this feild than there is are lot of opportunities for electronics engineers.

Finally , we can talk about other countries. Right now it is ression time but if you look for time 2-3 years ahead then there is no problem . This phase will be over and business will get normal. If you are willing to takeup a career of Hardware designer then you need to have a Masters Degree (MS). Best place to study abroad is USA . Some of my friends are studing there . The uni in US offeres lot of exposure and industry interaction opportunities for students.
